Kiss today goodbye,
the sweetness and the sorrow.
Wish me luck,
the same to you.Look, my eyes are dry,
The gift was ours to borrow. It's as if we always knew,
Love's what we remember.
Kiss today goodbye,
and point me to tomorrow.
What we did, we had to do.
Won't forget, can't regret,
what I've been through now,
what I've been through now.
Gone, love is never gone.
Love's what I'll remember.Kiss today goodbye,
and point me to tomorrow.

Lyrics adapted from the musical A Chorus Line

Connor came home late last night and is resting and healing, buoyed up by the prayers and encouragement of many, many friends. Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love that we have experienced throughout this trauma.

Connor wants to tell you all about it himself, but since so many people have asked WHAT HAPPENED!!!??!!!, the short version is: Connor and some scout buddies at camp were jumping off a picnic table under a pavillion and grabbing onto the rafters and swinging around. Connor jumped, grabbed the rafters and generated so much momentum that he swung around the rafters to an upside-down position, losing his grip on the rafter and crashing 10-feet down to the ground, directly on his head. That's the story.

  1. Connor you are a miracle kid!! Your parents are pretty awesome too so it makes sense that you are!! Ask your parents to get you a stick, you need to be able to just sit and poke your brothers (fun torture with little effort!!) Get well!! Love, The Barlow Family!! Trevor, Marla, Katrina & Aidan!!

  2. Connor,

Love that smile on your face!!! You are a trooper and you'll be back on the field before you know it! If we lived closer, I'd bring Patrick over for a serious Wii game. Listen to the doctors orders about taking it easy... you will definitely recover faster if you let your body completely heal. Sending cyber-hugs your way!
